Carla Veglia

Student Therapist

Carla (she, her, hers) is a student therapist from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, completing her internship in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Omaha Integrative Care. Carla is bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoys working with clients of diverse ethnocultural backgrounds. She enjoys working with individuals, emphasizing a person-centered approach, as well as with families, utilizing a systems framework. She is interested in navigating life transitions with her clients and addressing anxiety and depression through introspection and self-awareness.

Carla graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Interpreting and Translation from the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaiso, in Chile, and has experience working with patients in a medical setting in the capacity of interpreter. She also conducted research in sociolinguistics in Shizuoka, Japan, and worked as an au pair in Germany.
