She has a passion for trauma-informed modalities, mental health advocacy, and policy work. Beatres is fluent in Arabic (Sudanese and Egyptian dialect) and Madi’ South Sudanese tribal language. She has extensive experience working in inpatient and outpatient settings, where she provided support to patients and family members.

Beatres completed her internship at Children’s Hospital with Child Advocacy Team, where she provided supportive counseling to parents and families and connected them with community and therapy resources. Beatres hopes to continue working with individuals with cultural and systematic trauma, diverse background, and individuals of all identities. Beatres is interested in working to become skillful in trauma-informed care, IPT, CBT, and mindfulness. She has learned that it is important to be intentional about how we talk about mental health and to be a positive support system for those who are struggling.
