Alexis (she, her, hers) is currently a Masters of Clinical Counseling student with Bellevue University. Much of her experience has consisted of working with victims of domestic and sexual violence, substance abuse prevention, and providing sex education to youth and young adults.
Alexis enjoys working with young adults helping them navigate the challenges of experienced trauma. More specifically, working with survivors of sexual trauma and individuals struggling within relationships are passions of hers. Additional areas of interest include; LGBTQ and sexuality concerns, addiction, depression, and maintaining healthy communication within relationships. Alexis approaches therapy from a cognitive-behavioral lens, focusing on action steps and talk therapy which provides solutions to issues leading to empowerment, autonomy, and healing. Alexis believes in giving yourself permission to revisit old wounds and remaining trauma in order to heal well and grow to more resistant.
