Alexis (she/her) is currently a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner with a Bachelors degree in public health from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Masters degree in clinical counseling from Bellevue University. Her work experience includes working with victims of domestic and sexual violence, substance abuse prevention, and teaching sex education to high school-aged youth.
Alexis works with teens and young adults, helping them navigate the challenges of experienced trauma, relationship distress, anxiety, depression, and adjusting to major life changes. Her experience in sexual health and reproductive justice allows her to be well versed in all aspects of sexuality such as gender-affirming hormone therapy and gender identity, intimacy, sexual dysfunction, and experiencing pleasure after sexual trauma.
Alexis draws from evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy along with Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. She believes that story-telling and Narrative therapy leads to agency, liberation, and true healing.
