Making yoga accessible to all

At OIC, we strive to make yoga accessible to everyone. We keep our class sizes small so we can offer the best instruction and the safest environment. Our mission is to honor and share the ancient traditions of the practice. Our program is unique to the Omaha area, teaching yoga within our integrative environment gives us the ability to offer several healing modalities under one roof. We typically start off slow and close to the ground with Yin style poses related to our class focus. From there, we begin to move and add in a bit of Flow (Vinyasa) with Sun Salutations and poses linked together with breath. This middle part of class is active, with several options for all levels. We end the class with a few Restorative poses, and then we drift into final relaxation in order to integrate after our practice. *Some weeks may use small 2-pound Yoga balls as a way to feel grounded, expansive, and/or to encourage subtle strength.
