Clare (she/her) believes that engaging in therapy is an important way to understand yourself and make sense of your place in the world. She is here to support your journey of self-discovery and self-development. In therapy, you have the chance to explore your situation, experiences, feelings, and mindset to empower and support you in making the changes to your life that are important to you. Clare is prepared to walk alongside you whether you are considering making changes in your life, you are feeling stuck, or you want to work through any challenges.
In her therapeutic approach, Clare integrates techniques from the fields of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Transactional Analysis. She recognizes clients as the experts of their own experiences and acknowledges the role of oppression, colonialism, and exploitation in shaping individuals’ experiences and identities. Clare welcomes exploration of these themes in the therapy space. She sees her role in the therapeutic relationship as a guide and facilitator, a warm presence encouraging all clients to tap into and hone their innate ability to heal and connect.
Clare is a Clinical Social Work student at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and is completing her clinical internship with OIC through summer 2026. She looks forward to working with adults, young adults, and others living with and working through issues of anxiety, depression, and more. Clare holds a bachelors degree in Latino/Latin American Studies and a masters degree in Sociology. She has extensive experience working with adults and young adults in higher education and mental health settings and is a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor.
Outside of work, Clare enjoys volunteering with local farming organizations, playing pickleball and board games, and spending time with family, friends, and pets.
