Omaha Integrative Primary Care: Restoring & nurturing health
Primary care means healthcare services provided by medical providers with specialized training in comprehensive and continuing care for people with undiagnosed signs, symptoms, or health concerns. Primary care encompasses wellness, prevention, health maintenance, health counseling, education, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. Our primary care providers collaborate with other health professionals, and utilize consultation or referral as appropriate.
Our medical providers will provide health services, including:
- First-appointment history and physical exam
- All tests and lab work
- Referrals to local specialists as needed
- Health counseling
Integrative Primary Care means:
- We follow the principles of integrative medicine, blending conventional, complementary and mind-body medicine.
- We are team-based and patient-centered, which means that we have turned around the traditional care paradigm, from physician-centered to patient-centered. This means that we provide continuous rather than episodic care, building meaningful relationships with our patients.
What conditions do we treat?
Integrative primary care is appropriate for both acute and chronic conditions. Your provider will communicate with and send a consultation note to other providers involved in your care. Established patients can be seen at Omaha Integrative Care for acute and episodic care as well as for general health maintenance. For medical emergencies or problems you encounter after hours, rather than calling the office, we recommend you go to an urgent care or to the Emergency Department.
