John (he, him, his) graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with his bachelors in Psychology and earned his Masters of Arts in Counseling from Doane University in 2016. John is currently practicing as a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner.
John has previous experience addressing substance use disorder and treating dual-diagnosis clients with substance abuse and/or mental health disorders. He specializes in substance abuse, sexuality and gender spectrum issues, anxiety disorders, depression, men’s issues, personal empowerment, stress reduction, and spiritual development.
He completed his 200-hour certification in yoga in 2016, and is working toward his 500-hour certification. He has experience teaching meditation, mindfulness, movement, and breath work. He strongly believes in the mind-body-soul approach to wellness.
John’s mission statement is: Through my experience, knowledge, and deep passion for easing others’ suffering, it is my purpose to help individuals cultivate more self-understanding, self-compassion, joy, inner peace, hope, meaning, and purpose. This is accomplished by compassionately treating the individual as a whole person.
