Counseling Student

Cassie (she, her, hers) is currently studying to obtain her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She completed her practicum at the university’s Community Counseling Clinic and has experience working with a multitude of clients with various presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions.

Cassie’s passionate about aiding her clients in understanding their own stories, enabling their voice, and to empowering them in their healing journey. She provides her clients with the tools, resources, and skills to overcome whatever life has thrown their way. She takes an integrative, collaborative, and trauma-informed approach to ensure each client feels seen and heard. She works from evidence-based therapies such as Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Brief Psychodynamic Therapy, while also taking influence from theories such as Narrative, Gestalt, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Cassie believes that true healing is in the process of meeting a client exactly where they are by creating authentic, supportive, and caring therapeutic relationships. Healing is a lifelong journey, and she is looking forward to help in the process.
