Ashton (he/him; they/them) is a Master in Social Work candidate at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and is expected to graduate December 2020. He studied Studio Art and Graphic Design at Creighton University and received his Masters of Fine Arts in Community Art from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. Ashton is trained in Brainspotting and is rooted in Queer, Feminist, existential, and interpersonal theories. He is excited to work with the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals living with chronic pain and illnesses, and smaller pairings, including romantic couples, business partners, and others.
Ashton believes that social justice and equity are the only true ways that sustainable healing can occur. Because of this, he enjoys working with individuals as much as large systems. He finds himself particularly called to learn more about the impacts of the environment on our individual and collective healing, especially in conjunction with the other aspects of the whole body perspective: physical, mental, and spiritual.
