Integrative Chronic Pain Therapy (PRT)—also known as Pain Reprocessing or Pain Signaling Therapy—is a neuroscience-based approach that helps retrain the brain to interpret pain signals more accurately and safely.
As a chronic pain coach, Alicia uses PRT to support people whose pain continues despite medical treatment, or when scans and tests don’t fully explain their symptoms. Research shows that in many cases, the nervous system can remain stuck in a heightened state of danger, continuing to produce real pain even after the body has healed.
Through education, awareness practices, emotional processing, and nervous system regulation, PRT helps you:
PRT does not suggest that pain is “imaginary.” Your pain is real. This approach focuses on changing how the brain processes pain, allowing symptoms to ease and, for many people, resolve over time.
Sessions are collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your pace. The goal isn’t to push through pain, but to help your nervous system feel safe again—so your body can do what it’s designed to do: heal.

Alicia offers Integrative Chronic Pain Therapy at Omaha Integrative Care. Using a combined approach weaves massage therapy with pain recovery coaching to address chronic pain from both the body and the nervous system. Gentle, intentional bodywork helps calm tension and build physical safety, while coaching supports retraining the brain’s pain response. Together, they create a supportive path toward lasting relief, restored movement, and greater trust in your body.
